The Origin
From Salta to the world, with ancestral roots.
In 1492, Europeans discovered tobacco to be a sacred ritual of the Americas. In Northwestern Argentina, the Jesuits cultivated this plant with mastery from the 16th century onwards, refining techniques that continue today.
The Lerma Valley, with its temperate climate and exceptional altitude, has the ideal land to produce superior-quality tobacco. This is where Petrus cigars are born. Made entirely by hand, our craft uses a unique agroecological process, observing tradition with the most absolute respect.

Our cigars
Each seed and leaf of Salteño Burley and Salteño Criollo are carefully selected following agroecological practices, as the use of sheep guano, natural bio inputs and exclusive techniques in order to guarantee the utmost expresión of each variety.
We present our robust cigars in glass tubes with corks infused in Malbec to enhance and preserve the experience untill the exact moment of opening.
Each cigar is handcrafted at Finca La Camila, a boutique estate in Lerma Valley, were passion and respect for land adds excellence to our final product.

At Petrus two icons of the Argentine culture meet: Tobacco and Malbec wine. Our cigars – genetically selected for the process – are aged in French oak barrels formerly used by Argentine top wineries, creating a sophisticated and unique fusion.
